Our proprietary powdered aerosol generators, constructed by spraying of the pseudo-liquefied compositions, are intended for incorporation in such devices that are employed for deposition of powdered dyes and other coatings (for example, anti-corrosion ones) and for their use in fire-extinguishing tools and diverse industrial technology processes.

The powdered aerosol structure formed by this device can be applied to studies on wear resistance of various technological pieces in operation under exacting climatic conditions, for instance, in a desert. Besides, it can be effectively used for studies on absorption, diffusion and propagation of microwave and laser radiation through air-dust media, for development of protection systems against the effects of microwave and laser radiation across a broad wavelength range.

One of the main units of these generators is a nozzle (spraying device) whose operating characteristics are determined by its immediate functional requirements.

Fig. 1 presents a photographic image of one the kinds of our proprietary sprayers intended for creation of powdered aerosol structures of various materials.

The performances of the device are given in Table 1:

Table 1. Performances of stochastic generators

Table 1.
Working material   Powders of various materials with particle sizes not exceeding 75 microns
Nominal pressure of pseudo-liquefied composition at the input of generator   2-6 atm.
Limiting pressure of pseudo-liquefied composition at the input of generator   15 atm
Maximum amount of powder sprayed (generator production)    0.8-1.0 kg/min
 Length (not more)    439 mm
 Breadth (not more)   155 mm
 Height (not more)   150 mm
 Weight, not more     7 kg

The design of this device enables to adjust its operating characteristics depending on functional dedication of the stand at which this device is employed.
