Home Page > Our Products > Programmble Microwave Generator for Combined Sequence of Stochastic and Radio PulsesA programmable and high-stability “SG-2” generator used for production of CW- and pulse-modulated microwave signals has 16 channels. The operating frequency range is 0.8÷8.8 GHz.
The operating frequencies of the generators and tuning ranges are given in the Table.
Table 1.
Each of the 16 channels of the generator includes a microwave oscillator, tunable in the ranges as indicated in Table 1, and a stochastic generator, as well, which is operable in the same range. Frequency tuning in each of the channels of “SG-2” generator is done discretely with a pitch of 1 MHz. The continuous power output of CW- and stochastic microwave signals of “SG-2” generator for each of the 16 channels is 0.5 W. The power output is adjusted smoothly within the limits of 0÷20 dB. “SG-2” generator operates both in static and dynamic modes. In the dynamic mode, “SG-2” generator forms non-periodic and periodic sequences of the stochastic and microwave radio-pulses, as commanded by CPU program.
Leading edges of the microwave signals do not exceed 10 ns.
The minimum pulse width is 50 ns. The number of pulses in one sequence does not exceed 1024. “SG-2” generator is computer-controlled according to a dedicated program. Information about the frequency and power of microwave signal comes to the computer. “SG-2” generator has a separate power supply unit which is operable from the mains 220 V, 50 Hz. The generator was manufactured on the component base of such companies as Fujitsu, Analog Devices, Toshiba, Philips. Fig. 1 shows a photographic image of “SG-2” generator and its power supply unit.
“SG-2” generator can be used in scientific research on problems of electromagnetic compatibility. |
